On 21st May, Tang Liangzhi, Deputy Secretary General of Chengdu CPC Committee, Mayor of Chengdu met with New Zealand overseas Chinese delegation led by Hu Hong, Chairman of New Zealand – Hubei Chamber of Commerce.
Tang Liangzhi briefly introduced Chengdu’s economic and social development and Chengdu’s unique advantage on the strategy of One Belt and One Way and the Yangzi River Economic Belt. He hoped overseas Chinese in New Zealand can utilize their advantage such as capital and intelligence, seize opportunities and realize win-win situation. Meanwhile, Mayor Tang encouraged the Chamber of Commerce to recommend more enterprises to invest in Chengdu.
Hu Hong gave a positive response to Mayor Tang’s advice. He suggested intensifying air line connection in order to enhance business and tourism exhcnage and multi-field cooperation.
Men Sheng, Assistant Mayor, Secretary General of Chengdu Municipal Government, Lu Sheng, Director of Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and related representatives from Chengdu Investment Promotion Commission and Chengdu Bureau of Exposition attended the meeting.
