On November 17th, 2014, the Israeli Consulate General in Chengdu was officially opened. The consular zone covers Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province and the Municipality of Chongqing.

Brief Introduction to Amir Lati, Israeli Consul General in Chengdu
Amir Lati, born in Israel in 1974, once studied Economics and Studies on East-Asia (China) in The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and got his bachelor degree. After graduation, he won Chinese government Scholarship and studied Chinese in Peking University. He majored in Economics in the Remote and Open University of Israel and got his postgraduate degree. He also studied Finance and Organizational Behavior in Tel Aviv University and got his MBA degree. He used to be Israeli Consul in Nigeria, Israeli Consul in Australia, Israeli Vice Ambassador in the Republic of Korea (Charged' de Affaire), Administrative Officer and Deputy Head of African Division, Vice Israeli Consul General in Shanghai, Deputy Director of Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs who was in charge of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and Deputy Director of North-East Division of Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
